Unpacked and Unphased

Kristi has unpacked everything and put it away in less than two weeks of moving to McKinney.  She unpacked boxes that hadn't been opened since we moved from Raleigh to to Minnetonka!  We have already experienced a few hiccups with the couch breaking, bean bag popping and our dog Lena digging her way under the fence in our backyard!

McKinney Dog Park

We have found a convenient dog park to take Lena to.  It is the Bonnie Wenk Park in Mckinney.  It is a very large and nice park with separate areas for large and small dogs.  It also has a water fountain dogs can drink out of when they are thirsty.

Kristi and the kids arrived from Minnesota around 11:45 p.m.  They spent the weekend in Halstad saying goodbye to family before driving over 1,117 miles to our new home.  The new chapter of our lives officially beings!

Texas Motor Speedway | Verizon IndyCar Series Firestone 600

I attended my first IndyCar race at the Texas Motor Speedway.  I wasn't sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it.  As I was leaving, I recorded an audio file from my car in the parking lot.  The noise was incredible from that distance.  If I can figure out how to embed it into this post I'll update this blog.

New Twins Stadium

Kristi and I went to the new stadium to watch the Twins play Oakland.  The Twins won 2 to 0 and the attendance was 40,830 - the stadium lives up to the hype.  Photos here.

Weekend at Lake Boulder

We went to Boulder Lake for the weekend to see Nana & Papa.  We had a relaxing time and enjoyed being out on the water.  Photos here.

All School Reunion

We didn't take a lot of photos at the reunion but were fortunate to see several of our old classmates and many other old friends.  One of the highlights included a scramble golf tournament.  More photos here.
